One of my goals in 2024 is to read 24 books.
I like to mix in personal and professional reads to keep it interesting. Realizing weโre already 1/3 of the way through the year, I decided to do a check-in on my goal.
Turns out I need some accountability!
So far Iโve read:
1.ย Unreasonable Hospitality, Will Guidara
2.ย Shoe Dog, Phil Knight
3.ย Measure What Matters, John Doerr (since my word for the year isย measure)
4.ย The Teacher, Freida McFadden (book club pick)
Iโm currently reading:
5.ย Iย Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Maya Angelou (book club pick)
6.ย Zucked, Roger McNameeย ย ย
Up next:
7.ย When Breath Becomes Air, Paul Kalanithi
8.ย The Covenant of Water, Abraham Verghese (author of Cutting for Stone โ possibly my all-time favorite book!)
9.ย The Measure, Nikki Erlick (recommended by a reader since my word of the year isย measure)
10.ย Within Reason, Sandro Galea
11.ย The Women, Kristin Hannah
12.ย Why Simple Wins, Lisa Bodellย
This only gets me halfway there so I would love some recommendations! What are your favorite books or all time? Or your newest favorite read? Would you be interested in a virtual book club?ย Iโd love to hear your thoughts!ย ย
As always, have a great week and keep learning!

1. Pass the NAPLEXยฎ Success! โ๏ธ๐ช๐ฅ
As we near graduation, pharmacy schools asked for support to prepare their students for the NAPLEXโฆ And, we delivered results!
Over the past month, we provided two Pass the NAPLEX virtual sessions and a 2-day Workshop that included MPJE prep. Of all the great feedback, the highest ratings included: โhelped me identify and use effective study strategiesโ, โimproved my confidence to effectively prepare for the NAPLEXโ, and โhelped me identify my strengths and areas for further studyโ.
One student said, โI learned what my strengths are and what more I need to study with drug therapy. And while I know the laws better than I thought, I need to think in simple terms rather than โwhat ifsโ in order to pass.โ

2. Do you have a plan for your CE?
I just got a reminder that my pharmacist license (aka required CE) is due July 1st. As a lifelong learner I take nearly every course we create, but I donโt often go through and get the CE credit. So yes, even a CE provider needs to make sure she has enough CE! ๐
Do you have a plan for your CE this year? Your CE plan should be our CE Plan!
With a CEimpact CE Plan, you have access to everything you could possibly need or want when it comes to CE.
We keep you current with weekly podcasts, monthly live CE discussions, in-depth case review studies, advanced trainings, and education courses on everything you need to design your best pharmacy career.
3. Podcast Alert!

- There are three causes of vertigo
- A few simple questions can help patients manage vertigo or determine which care provider to see
- Meclizine may or may not be helpful
- There are preventive supplements for vestibular migraine
