Many social media platforms, media organizations, and dictionaries have embraced the idea of a “word of the year,” each selecting their own. Among the options I’ve seen— “demure,” “brain rot,” and “brat”—my favorite is manifest, chosen by Cambridge Dictionary.
Originally meaning “clear” or “obvious,” the term has evolved to signify “speaking your dreams into existence.”Who wouldn’t be on board with that?
While some may view this as “magical thinking,” I see it as a powerful mindset shift.I recently discovered the 3-6-9 method—a trend from a couple of years ago. It includes writing down your goals three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times at night. This focus can significantly increase the likelihood of achieving your goals.
For example, on December 1st, I committed to eating healthy throughout the month, allowing exceptions only for special occasions. When tempted by sweets, I reminded myself of my commitment and made healthier choices. Now, halfway through December, I’m sticking to my goal.
Did I manifest my goal? Maybe.Did my mindset shift to support healthier choices? Absolutely.
Manifesting your dreams might just help you make them a reality. Why not give it a try?
As always, have a great week and keep learning!
