Impact is defined as “the force of impression of one thing on another” COVID-19 might be the most impactful force many of us have experienced in our lifetime.
As with other impactful events in history, we already know this will have a lasting impression on our lives. For example, it’s hard to imagine the plastic shields at the grocery store checkout line will come down, even when this is in the rearview mirror.
Hopefully other lasting impressions will relate to the pharmacist’s role on the healthcare team. Pharmacist’s response to serving patients on the frontlines is evidence enough to be paid as providers in the system. From test and treat to immunizations to medication management. Pharmacists and their teams are capable and it’s time to break down unnecessary barriers to do what you do best – take care of patients’ medication management needs.
This is also the best evidence of lifelong learning. If there was ever a time for critical learning, this is it. You’re learning every day – from the media, podcasts, email newsletters, social media, online discussions, and accredited CE. And it’s coming at you fast. You have had to pivot and learn when and where you can. Your patients are counting on you to have evidence-based information. In some cases, it’s life or death.
At CEImpact, we’re committed to guiding you through this impactful time. We’ve had to pivot as well, and we hope we’re making an impact. Check out the resources below and thanks for learning with us. Here’s hoping April showers bring May flowers!
