“Pharmacists have been giving immunization for many, many years now and this (COVID-19) has really silicified the role in the health care team to provide immunization. I know a lot of pharmacies across the country have been stepping up and administering COVID vaccines, as well as educating patients about the COVID disease and treatment. Now, as we are in the vaccination part of this pandemic, pharmacists are educating patients and community members on the vaccine and stepping up to combat vaccine hesitancy.”
