With ~30 days left in 2023, what do you plan to focus on?
Are you in the camp of “let’s just get through this” OR can I encourage you to flip the script and lead your last few weeks of 2023 with intention.
There is a lot of noise happening in the pharmacy marketplace right now, and when times get overwhelming, I lean on my word of 2023 – FOCUS.
And, transitioning into 2024, we are planning our company focus for 2024 and what we want to spend our energy on the last few weeks of Q4…
Did you choose a WORD of the year for 2024?
Our team does this annually and I swear each time we do, I find myself having more clarity when I align my energy on my word of the year.
As always, have a great week and keep learning!

2. Jen’s Top 10 Holiday Gift Giving Guide
Now in the spirit of kicking off the holidays, I thought it would be fun to share with you my Top 10 Holiday Guide!
Pocket Pharmacy – I ordered this last year and it has become my favorite thing! I loaded and labeled it with everyday items and throw it in my purse for anything I might need. I’m giving them as stocking stuffers because everyone loves them and it’s a perfect gift from a pharmacist or technician!
Maybe It’s Your Medications – Our teammate Rhonda’s friend wrote this book and it is SO good! It’s focused on those 65+ to help them become an expert on medications so they can be their own best advocate. I’ve referred to it as going to “mini pharmacy school” and honestly think it’s good for anyone. It would be a perfect gift for people who like to understand and be proactive with their health.
Box Cutter – Ok, so I know this sounds basic, but I couldn’t live without it. Whether in the pharmacy or at home, everyone should own this! It will be the practical gift people talk about. Trust me.
Dept 56 Coca Cola Corner Drugstore – My mother-in-law gave this to me years ago and it is still one my favorite things when I decorate for the holidays!
Chirp Wheel – This is great at the end of a long day at my desk. It would also be a great product to carry in the pharmacy!
Stanley Fanny – Stanleys are all the rage and easy to carry with their famous handle. But, I was always looking for a place to put my keys, phone, and airpods. Enter, the Stanley Fanny! It’s a fanny pack/belt bag for your water bottle. Genius.
Moments of Mindfulness – Anti-Stress Coloring Book with Activities to Feel Calmer. Enough said.
Pens – My daily planner is my guidepost. I keep track of all my professional + personal tasks and calendar items. And sometimes when I need a clarity break I can be caught doodling.
Passion Planner – Speaking of planners, this is my fav – and I’ve tried a lot. I like to get the academic version that starts in July and I use it as my learning calendar year. LOVE!
Lessons in Chemistry – My favorite book this year! The author’s style is great, the creativity is amazing, and the lessons are countless. I also just started watching the series on Apple TV+ which is also really great!
Do you have any suggestions? Send them back as we are collecting more as a team!
