Most pharmacists and technicians (me included) vastly underestimate the effort it takes to build financial wellness. Both in my personal life and in the CEimpact business, I’ve needed to intentionally carve out energy and time to become both financially literate and confident.
On top of this, having two adult children navigating their new financial journey has guaranteed weekly questions about saving, investing, credit card usage, employee benefits, etc. And while I’ve been at “adulting” for some time, their questions have shone a light on a few areas in my own life:
- What am I doing to invest in staying current in money matters?
- Am I practicing what I preach?
- How well am I taking care of my financial wellbeing?
My advice always goes back to being in control so you can manage choices at any point.
This is precisely why we are developing education for pharmacists and technicians on how to better manage their financial mindset.
Maybe that’s the message I need to give my kids.
It’s a journey – keep learning, keep navigating the risks, and keep investing in yourself.
