I am currently amid some family health concerns that lead back to generational views, such as:
- medication is the only answer
- what the doctor says is the only plausible way
- accept the outcome rather than advocate
Sometimes these beliefs make it challenging to connect with patients (and maybe family members!) because it takes time to understand what they view as critical or important.
But understanding their personal beliefs, core values, and meeting them where they are can make a world of difference in helping them achieve positive outcomes.
That is why this week I am encouraging you to check out our new Pharmacist led Health Coaching course.
It is an 8-hour advanced training that supports you in developing the skills to have a deeper connection with your patients. Patients are craving to be heard and understood right now and this course will help you gain positive outcomes while still balancing the art of relationship building.
As always, have a great week and keep learning!
