The start of our learning year
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” -Will Durant
Summer is a time when our schedules are more relaxed, and full of fun and travel.
While I love the summer vibe, I tend to lose track of time, stay up too late, struggle to rise early to work out, and all of the sudden that’s my new habit!
The same can be true for our learning habits.
If we don’t build specific habits into our everyday, we lose track, and the next thing we know we’re scrambling to get required CE at the last moment.
But even more important than checking that CE box, is the importance of reflecting on our learning experience.
Whether you entered the pharmacy profession last year, last decade, or a few decades ago, our learning never stops (you know this!).
It’s easier to keep up on all “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” -Will Durant the things if it’s a habit and part of our yearly reflection and goal setting. Don’t you agree?
Do you reflect on your learning and set learning goals?
Do you have a learning habit that works?
Maybe July 1 could be the start of our learning year and we could all create good learning habits together?
Reply back and let me know what your learning habits include. If you don’t have any, set a goal during this learning year to implement one!
As always, have a great week and keep learning!
