We’ve been attacked.
We = pharmacy.
By whom? The AMA.
The easy thing to do is fight back.
The RIGHT thing to do is stand your ground and show our value.
This response does that…in a very professional manner.
I’m proud of our profession for taking the high road.
And yet, time and again, pharmacy’s passion to fight for patients’ best interests is shot at because of turf.
While the organizations battle this out, I see pharmacists and technicians practicing with the mindset that “if it’s good for patients, it’s good for pharmacy.”*
I hope we keep this front and center.
Keep learning, keep collaborating, keep responding to patient needs, keep improving patient outcomes.
Good always wins.
As always, have a great week and keep learning!
