An Introduction to Functional Medicine [Technician]
Functional Medicine addresses the root cause of chronic disease through lifestyle changes and appropriate medication use. This course addresses the six core principles of functional medicine and how pharmacy technicians can be trained as health coaches to support patients making lifestyle changes.
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacy technicians should be able to:
1. Define Functional Medicine
2. Compare and contrast conventional medicine, integrative medicine and FM
3. Recall the six core principles of functional medicine
4. List the seven underlying clinical imbalances
