The guidelines for managing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) were recently revised. Take this course to better understand the medications used to treat patients with COPD and embrace your role on the patient care team.
Upon successful completion of this application-based CPE course, pharmacy technicians should be able to:
1. Identify major characteristics and risk factors for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
2. Recognize items needed to assess COPD
3. Recognize evidence-based therapy options for chronic management of COPD
4. Identify parameters to monitor a patient’s response to their COPD regimen
5. Describe patient burden from COPD and how clinicians can empathize and alleviate
