This course discusses the most current asthma management medications so pharmacy technicians can work together with the pharmacist to help patients manage asthma triggers and exacerbations.
Upon successful completion of this knowledge-based CPE course, pharmacy technicians should be able to:
1. Identify changes to asthma treatment recommendations that have occurred over the past few years
2. Recognize factors that indicate potential for poor outcomes in asthma management
3. Describe methods to manage asthma triggers at home
4. Recognize signs of a serious asthma exacerbation requiring immediate treatment
