Upon successful completion of this application-based course, participants should be able to:
1. Identify patients and/or caregivers for whom it would be appropriate to dispense naloxone.
2. Assess a patient’s risk for overdose or serious opioid-induced respiratory depression (OSORD).
3. Select an appropriate naloxone product based on patient and agent-related factors.
4. Address clinician, patient, and caregiver concerns about naloxone.
5. Educate a patient and/or caregiver on naloxone.
